1. Where is Pattaya?

Pattaya is a city in Thailand, located on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, about 165 km southeast of Bangkok, part of the province of Chonburi.

2. How to get to Pattaya

Bus: Air-conditioned buses depart from the Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekkamai) and Bangkoks Northern Bus Terminal (Mochit 2 Bus Terminal) on Kamphaengphet Road, Bangkok daily. Buses (without air-con) to Pattaya usually depart from the East terminal from 5 am to 10 pm.

Train: The State Railway of Thailand offers a daily train service departing Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong Station from 05:00 am to 10:00 pm.

3. Best time to visit Pattaya

The climate in Pattaya is divided into hot and dry (December to February), hot and humid (March and April), and hot and rainy (May to November). Among these, the dry season is the best season to visit Pattaya.

4. Major zones in Pattaya

Tourist Attractions Pattaya is divided into 3 zones

Zone 1: Naklua Area located in the North, this is a quite quiet area, the peaceful sea which is suitable for walking around and enjoying the fresh atmosphere.

Zone 2: Central Pattaya, the sea here is bustling and crowded. There are 3 parallel roads leading to the sea in this area: Beach road, Pattaya second road, Pattaya third road. These three roads are always crowded, crowded with many shops, services, and shopping centers. Especially, the third Pattaya road is a suitable place to rent a room because it is cheaper and also quieter than the other two.

Zone 3: Jomtien area located in the South, this area has many cafes, restaurants close to the romantic sea, good price food in the center.

Pattaya Beach

The beach is located in the center of Pattaya 3 km long, bustling with tourists every day. Here you could swim and join in water sports. Koh Larn

About 7 km from the beach of Pattaya, but Koh Larn atoll is like another world. The sea here is emerald green looking through the bottom with colorful coral reefs and the surrounding sea creatures. Khau Chee Chan

Khau Chee Chan Buddha is a Buddha image carved on Chichan mountain or Khau Chee Chan located 25 km from Pattaya. The Buddha image is 109m high and 70m wide. The gold-plated carvings are known as the largest Buddha image in Pattaya protected by the Royal Thai Navy. The statue of Sakyamuni Buddha is carved on the mountainside between heaven and earth with a meditation sitting on a lotus flower. The Buddha image is recognized as one of the most impressive Buddhist works in the world, attracting Buddhists and non-Buddhist tourists to visit and take photos to commemorate the arrival of Pattaya.

Art in Paradise

Art in Paradise in Pattaya is considered as the first and largest 3D museum in Thailand. Then the museum appears in Bangkok and Chiangmai with an area of ​​over 5,800 m2 and more than 200 illustrations, with many topics and content. All are painted in 3D on a flat-screen but as vivid as the real world makes visitors overwhelmed. The entrance fee to the museum is 500 Thai baht for adults and 300 baht for foreign children.

Jomtien beach

Jomtien Beach, a quiet and peaceful beach, is located a hill south of central Pattaya. It takes only about 15 minutes by bus or taxi (take a taxi for 10 baht – 20 baht) from central Pattaya. This is also a beach where many sea sports such as windsurfing, boating, skateboarding, swimming, snorkeling, coral diving, etc. are available for those who are motivated and marine sports enthusiasts. There is also an extra beach named Dongtan, which is a gathering place for gay to have fun and make friends.

Four Regions Floating Market

Four Regions Floating Market has been in operation since 2008. The market is an area with rows of houses on the water, a display of crafts, local food, and specialties from the Northern, Central, South, and Northeast of Thailand. Pattaya Elephant Village
