1. Best time to visit Mui Ne

The best season in the Southern Central coastline of Vietnam is the dry season from October to March. The weather is cool, sunny and there is no risk of storms in these months.

2. How to get to Mui Ne?

There are 2 ways to get to Phan Thiet: bus or train. The bus is very convenient for those who get to Mui Ne and offers flexibility in terms of schedule. It drives you directly to your resort in Mui Ne.

With the train, if you travel from Saigon, you could take your motorbike with you. It is very safe if you travel from Hanoi. However, the train will bring you to Phan Thiet then you need to take the bus to Mui Ne.

2.2. Train from Phan Thiet to Saigon

Every day, there are trains from Saigon to Phan Thiet at 7.05 am, Saturday and Sunday, there is one more afternoon trip. Except for the weekend (Sat and Sun), the train is not crowded so you could sit anywhere. From the Phan Thiet railway station, there is a bus to Mui Ne, which takes about 30-40 minutes. You could even bring a motorbike with you on the train from Saigon to Phan Thiet.

4. Rent a bike in Mui Ne

Most hotels and resorts in Mui Ne offer motorbike rentals. If the hotel does not have a rental bike service, the receptionist will help you.

Or if you get to Phan Thiet by train, you could bring a motorbike with you. If you go 3 to 4 days or more, you should bring your own bike, it will be much more economical. It is an experience that when putting a motorbike on a train, remember to drain all the gasoline because the train is often deprived of gasoline. Do not forget to buy tickets for the return always because the parking is limited, often out of tickets.

Located in Mui Ne Ward, sand dunes “fly” always attract tourists. The unique feature here is that whenever there is a strong wind, the appearance of the sandhill is different from the previous shape and the color also changes, sometimes yellow, white, white-gray, dark red … mixed together to create a beautiful picture of nature. Sliding down from the sand dunes is also a fun experience. With a plank, many adventurous visitors slide down from a high slope. The screams and laughter will give you moments of relaxation.

Fishermen Show

Fishermen Show – Legend of Fishing Village is a unique art space about the cultural intersection of the two ethnic groups of Kinh and Cham in Phan Thiet. The content of the program was inspired by the fishing village of Phan Thiet in 1762. The show takes place on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 20:00 and Sunday morning at 10:30. Tickets can be booked via 090 11111 666 or bought at Fishermen Show theatre, 360 Nguyen Thong street, Mui Ne, Phan Thiet.  Ticket price ranges from 300,000 VND – 500,000 VND.

Boat trip to admire the lotus in Bau Trang, Bau Sen

A must-see destination in Phan Thiet is Bau Trang, Bau Sen area. These are two natural freshwater lakes located between immense white sandhills, about 60 km from Phan Thiet. In the lotus season, the lakeside blossoms adorning the white sand hills with colorful colors. You can rent a small boat to roam the lake, pick lotus, fishing and feel the poetic beauty of the immense lake in the middle of the white sand, admiring the beautiful sunset on the lake.
