3.1. Public transportation
There is no direct bus to Pu Luong so it is quite difficult if you want to use public transport. To catch a bus to Pu Luong Thanh Hoa, you have to use a combination of many types of vehicles together.
From Hanoi, you could catch a car to Ba Thuoc (Canh Nang Town), usually, the cars go to the center of the district, which is about 20 km from Pu Luong. You can rent a motorbike taxi to come in. From Giap Bat and My Dinh bus stations, there is a car of Hoang Phuong garage (0973737778) to Ba Thuoc daily.
3.2. Personal transportation
The most convenient and fastest way to get to Pu Luong is by personal vehicle (motorbike, car) if you come from Hanoi or some provinces in the North.
From Hanoi, follow National Road 6 toward Hoa Binh, choose one of two roads through Lung Van cloud valley or through Ban Lac and Mai Chau and then to Pu Luong.
The road passing Lung Van is a small road with winding passes resembling the terrain of the northwest provinces, the scenery on both sides of the road is majestic and pristine. On the way, you will have the opportunity to admire the wonderful scenery, the clouds covering the mountain body or the misty morning mist in the valley. The distance is about 200km, the time to move the pass is around 4-5 hours.

An important highlight of Kho Muong is Kho Muong Cave, also known as Doi Cave (Bat Cave). The entrance to the cave is a road covered by forest trees. From outside, Doi Cave is only over 100m but the width of the cave is more than 2.5 km, with many nooks and crannies deep in the ground.
Hieu village and Hieu waterfall belong to Co Lung commune, Ba Thuoc district, Thanh Hoa.
